Jeremy Schultz
Principal Advanced Diploma Tutor
Jeremy Schultz is an Integrative counsellor, clinical supervisor and core tutor on the Advanced Diploma.
He was trained at CPPD and has taught on both the UK and Pakistan courses since 2012 and is an accredited member of the BACP.
Jeremy’s background
A musician, songwriter and music producer in his first career, Jeremy has developed this specialism further by offering consultation to the creative industries on matters of mental health.
He remains closely associated with the field as part of the counselling team at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, having previously been appointed Lead Counsellor at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
Jeremy’s approach
Jeremy is guided by the principle that counselling should be freely accessible to all and has practised almost exclusively in organisational settings for over 15 years including NHS, secondary school and university counselling services.
In his clinical and teaching practice Jeremy draws particularly upon Object Relations and Attachment Theory and he has recently contributed a chapter to the forthcoming Bloomsbury publication ‘Sex Education: School’s Out For Netflix’ (2025).
A word from Jeremy
“Teaching at CPPD, it’s uniquely rewarding to see how students from such diverse backgrounds can come together to learn and support each other in their counselling training.”
