Ruth Dines
Principal Diploma Tutor
Ruth is a tutor, humanistic integrative counsellor, trainer in both the public and private sectors. She also volunteers at a number of charities running various groups helping individuals with loss and bereavement.
Ruth’s background
Before training to become a therapist, Ruth worked for over 20 years in HR and Training & Development for a number of FTSE 500 companies. She also set up her own Management Consultancy business in 1994.
Aside from tutoring at CPPD and running her own private practice she runs various workshops for employees and volunteers on topics such as ‘building resilience’ and ‘managing stress and anxiety in the workplace’.
Ruth’s approach
In her private practice in north London her particular areas of interest are loss and bereavement, stress and anxiety, improving work/life balance and communication and relationship problems, including separation and divorce.
Ruth is also a volunteer counsellor at North London Hospice where she runs Relaxation Courses for patients and carers as part of the Health and Wellbeing service offering.

Our counselling sessions aim to give you, the client, an opportunity to explore personal issues in a safe, confidential and non-judgemental setting. All done with a highly experienced counsellor.
Our Courses
We have a whole range of course that run in the evening and weekends. Which means we offer real flexibility for people in employment, or with busy family lives, who want to train in counselling.
